We are delighted to have two upcoming events “in person” at the Church.
On Wednesday 15th at 7.30pm the Pohutukawa Singers will present a short programme of Christmas music and carols, some of which will be well known and some less so! There will be plenty of opportunities for audience participation.
The choir have not put a price on the tickets but a koha would be appreciated and this can be in cash on the night or by online banking to Pohutukawa Singers 12-3030-0591263-00. As you can imagine life in the arts has been difficult in 2021! In July the choir ordered new carol books at about $55 each in anticipation of 2 well attended Christmas concerts and although some costs reduced in lockdown they continued to pay their musical director for all his work on Zoom rehearsals, so any donations would be very gratefully received.
Admission to the concert will be by ticket only and if you would like to join us please email candcnewel@gmail.com indicating the number of tickets you would like. This will have to be on a ‘first come first served’ basis as numbers have to be limited to 100.
On Christmas Eve at 7.00pm we will have a traditional service of 9 lessons and carols again with some very talented musicians and lots of carols for everyone to sing
Covid requirements are the same for both events, as they are for our services under the current restrictions. Masks will be required and anyone over the age of 12 will have to present a valid Vaccine Passport (hard copy or on a phone) which will be scanned.
We look forward to seeing you!
